Approach…
I believe that the best coaches serve as sounding boards; listening deeply with curiosity and respect, and challenging constructively. My approach is rooted in the science of positive psychology and adult development theory.
My coaching is a dynamic balance of client and coach-led, leaning on my strong skill of knowing when to show up like a coach, the neutral party that witnesses and is curious, and when to offer a perspective and lean on my experience as a person, business owner, parent, organizational employee, and as a coach to hundreds of individuals.
I use a variety of tools, such as reputation, energy, and 360 assessments, mindfulness techniques, self-reflection exercises, guided visualizations, and skill/strength mapping. It is my belief that coaching is truly effective when the whole self of the client is taken into account.
Methods
Each coaching engagement begins with a deep dive into the client’s goals and what they are desiring from the coaching relationship.
Initial questions: What does success look like at the end of the coaching engagement? What are you desiring? What have you tried so far? What is your timeframe?
Using these questions as a springboard, I then work with the client to craft a plan, and design a coaching package to get to the client’s goals.
